In this pack, there are the models, materials and sounds you need for the rocket turret. Two instances are delivered for using it in Hammer, working around the bugs this NPC has in Portal 2.

The missing sounds are just hearable if you put them in a VPK file in your addons folder, put them into your map (.bsp file) or rebuild your soundcache.

The $MissileSpeed has a default of 450. If you keep ??? it will use this default speed.

  • a normal sphere button specialized for the bumbleballs, not useable with other objects

  • droppers for bumbleballs, dirty and clean

To avoid ugly flicker effects when placing edges into each other at corners or edges,you can use these new models now. They support all three skins of regular squarebeams.

Formats are:
  • Edges: 64, 128 and 256 units long
  • Corner: 64x64x64
  • Other: 64x48 and 48x48 squarebeam

Put the materials and models folder to Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\.

Arm64x64_interior with Physics

This is the normal arm64x64_interior.mdl with all it's animations and skins and additional physical hitboxes. Now prop_physics or players can collide with it without any clip-brush.

Clean and rusty skins are in one model. Skin 0-2 is clean, 3-5 is rusty (0 normal, 1 off, 2 error).

Please use only when necessary to avoid problems with physics or potential broken animations (because of decompiling)!

Put the models folder to Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\.

Dynamic Crusher Instances

These crusher instances are available for one and two sides.

The following options are given:
  • use a Reset Timer for auto-reset after crushing
  • use a Solved-Relay that brings the crusher to "de-crushes" state (even if moving)
  • use single relays just to crush or uncrush without any automatic reset
  • use the Status value - set a name of a math_counter and the crusher will add 1 if crushing and subtract 1 if uncrushing (for multiple crushers)

Do not forget to kill/deactivate the not used features with a logic_auto at mapspawn!

Put the instances anywhere into Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\sdk_content\maps\instances\.

Vacuum Tube Glass Inside and Outside

Those are Portal 2's glass tubes of vacuum tube systems having glass texture inside and outside. I recommend to use them only if you need to see the glass from inside the tubes.

In this small pack you can find .vmts for all unused signage .vtf files included in the original Portal 2 content. A non transparent version of the paint speed sign is included as well.
